Use this article if:

  • Your course progress is missing
  • You cannot move to the next lesson
  • A lesson is not marked complete
  • You need a quiz or test reset
  • A quiz answer appears incorrect
  • You want to know the final quiz passing grade
  • You submitted an assignment and want to know when it will be marked
  • You need assignment tips
  • You are missing progress in a specific course module

If course progress is missing

Course progress may appear missing if:

  • You are signed in to the wrong account
  • You are using the wrong Greenbeam environment or instance
  • Your browser has not refreshed correctly
  • Course progress has not synced
  • The course structure or data format has changed

First try:

  1. Refreshing the page
  2. Logging out and back in
  3. Checking you are in the correct Greenbeam environment
  4. Returning to the course through your dashboard or enrolled courses area

If you cannot progress to the next lesson

If you cannot move forward in a course, check whether the previous lesson has been marked complete.

Look for a button or action such as:

  • Mark as complete
  • Complete lesson
  • Continue
  • Next lesson

Some courses require you to manually mark a lesson as complete before the next lesson unlocks.

Idea
Helpful hint: Watching a video or opening a lesson may not automatically complete it. Always check whether there is a completion button at the bottom of the lesson.

Missing progress in the Certified Project Officer course

The source content notes a historical issue where progress in a Certified Project Officer course module may not display correctly because of a change in how progress data was stored.

It also states that progress data may still be safe in the database and recoverable by support.

Before publishing, this should be validated with the course owner to confirm whether the issue is still current.

Resetting a test or quiz

Some tests or assessments may be reset, but course quizzes may have limited attempts.

Your highest score may be used as your final score in some courses.

If you need a reset, include:

  • The course name
  • The quiz or test name
  • Why the reset is needed
  • Any error messages or screenshots

Reporting an issue with a quiz answer

If you believe a quiz answer is incorrect or a quiz will not accept your answer, report the issue for review.

Include:

  • Course name
  • Lesson or module name
  • Quiz question number
  • The answer you selected or entered
  • A screenshot of the issue
  • Any error message displayed

Final quiz passing grades

Final quiz passing grades may be calculated using the ANGOFF method.

This means subject matter experts review each question and estimate whether a minimally qualified learner should be able to answer it correctly. These ratings help determine a fair passing grade.

Courses may use a combination of:

  • Video content
  • Text content
  • Reading materials
  • Quizzes
  • Practical assessments
  • Self-marked activities

Will my assignment be marked?

Some WithYouWithMe courses are self-paced learning experiences. The source content states that some assignments are self-marked and are not marked by instructors.

Other assignments may be reviewed, depending on the course. Because marking rules may vary by course, learners should check the instructions inside the specific assignment or course.

When will my submitted assignment be graded?

Assignment marking is usually completed within about seven days, although backlog periods can make it longer.

If the wait is affecting your progress, contact WithYouWithMe support to ask whether temporary access to later course material is available.

Assignment tips

Grammar and Spelling

A useful tool for checking grammar and spelling in any editor (including the web browser) is Grammarly. It is free and can be installed from https://app.grammarly.com/

References

Sometimes assignments specify a specific reference format: Usually, it is Vancouver style referencing for cyber security courses and APA6 for other courses. You can use http://www.citethisforme.com/  to help you. It will generate references in the correct format, which you then need to copy into your editor.

If you are using Microsoft Word then:

  1. Select the text that needs a reference
  2. Click the Reference tab of the toolbar
  3. Click Insert Footnote
  4. Paste in your reference

Research

Most of the time we provide downloadable templates and links to extra reading material, but you may need to search for more information to get a better understanding of the content. In addition to reports and articles, there are many freely available videos that can explain additional concepts or explain the same concepts in a different way. Try our software partners' websites as a starting point or look up other enthusiasts on https://www.youtube.com/

When preparing assignments:
  • Read the instructions carefully
  • Check whether a specific reference format is required
  • Proofread spelling and grammar
  • Use clear examples where possible
  • Make sure your work answers the actual question
  • Save a copy before submitting
  • Check that your upload or submission was successful
