Manage your email addresses and sign-in methods

Manage your email addresses and sign-in methods

You can manage the email addresses connected to your account from My Profile → Account details.
This page lets you add another email address, choose which address is primary, remove a secondary address, and view the available ways to sign in.

Your account must always have at least one email address.

Email addresses: primary and secondary

Each email address connected to your account is shown as one of the following:
  1. Primary: Your main account email, used for account communication and recovery.
  2. Secondary: An additional email address linked to your account.
  3. Pending verification: An email address that has been added but still needs to be verified before it can become primary.
You can sign in using either your primary or verified secondary email address.

Add an email address

To add another email address:
  1. Open My Profile.
  2. Select Account details.
  3. In the Email addresses section, select Add email address.
  4. Enter the email address you want to add.
  5. Enter your current password.
  6. Select Add email address.
A verification email is sent to the new address. The address is shown as Pending verification until you complete the verification process.

Check your inbox, spam folder, and junk folder for the verification email. Once the address has been verified, it becomes available to use for sign-in and can be made your primary email address.

Make an email address primary

You can choose which verified email address is your primary address.
Making an email address primary updates the main email associated with your account. The former primary address becomes a secondary address, so you can continue to use it to sign in.
  1. To make a verified secondary address primary:
  2. Open My Profile → Account details.
  3. Find the verified secondary email address.
  4. Select the More options menu next to the address.
  5. Select Make primary.
  6. Enter your current password when prompted.
  7. Confirm the change.
The page updates to show the newly selected primary email address.

Remove an email address

You can remove a secondary email address that you no longer want connected to your account.

To remove a secondary email address:
  1. Open My Profile → Account details.
  2. Find the secondary email address you want to remove.
  3. Select the More options menu next to the address.
  4. Select Remove email.
  5. Enter your current password when prompted.
  6. Confirm the removal.
Once removed, you can no longer use that email address to sign in to this account.

InfoYou cannot remove your primary email address or the email you're currently logged in with.
If you need to remove it, first add and verify another email address, then make that address primary. You can then remove the former primary address after it becomes secondary.

Choose where account communications are sent

The primary email address is used for account communication and recovery. If you want these messages sent to a different linked address, make that verified address your primary email.
Before making a change, make sure you can access the email address you are promoting. You may need it to receive account or recovery messages in future.

View your sign-in methods

The Sign-in methods section shows the ways you can access your account, including email and password sign-in and any connected sign-in providers, such as Google or LinkedIn.

Troubleshooting

I have not received the verification email
Check the spam and junk folders for the email address you added. Confirm that you entered the address correctly and allow a few minutes for delivery.
The email address remains labelled Pending verification until verification is complete. You cannot make a pending address primary.
If the email does not arrive, contact your organisation’s platform administrator or support team.

I cannot make an email address primary
Only a verified secondary email address can be made primary. If the address is still labelled Pending verification, complete the verification process first.
You will also be asked to enter your current password. If the password is incorrect, the change will not be completed.

I cannot remove an email address
Only secondary email addresses can be removed. Your account must always have one primary email address.
If you want to remove the current primary address, add and verify another address first, make it primary, and then remove the old address after it becomes secondary.
You cannot remove an email address if it's the one your current session used to login with. Log out, and sign in with the email address you're keeping before removing the other.

I cannot sign in with my secondary email address
Make sure the email address has been verified and is still listed in Account details. Removed addresses can no longer be used to sign in.
If the address is listed but you still cannot sign in, try your primary address or contact support for help.

I do not know my current password
Adding an email address, changing the primary email, and removing an email address require your current password. If you do not know it, use the password-reset option on the sign-in page before trying again.
